Sagada Philippines 2013

Last February 12-13 2013 Our friends Jof with his office mate Gary, Mark, Rose, Case, and Jam invite us to go to Sagada Mountain Province with their special Guest Sarah and Kenneth. Then Going to the Bus Station of Ohayami near in UST - Lacson st. we ride axi cab. from makati around 45min. Then:

Itenerery:

9:00pm  to 7:00 ETA to Banaue
8:00am  Breakfast at Banaue Hotel and take a couple of pics
9:00am to 10:00am Banaue to Sagada CR break at Mt. Polis and hot coffee


Sagada has many natural wonders. Backpackers and tourists can enjoy the waters of Bokong and Bomod-ok Falls. Other places that can be visited are:

  • Sumaguing and Lumiang Caves
  • Bomod-ok and Bokong Falls
  • Rice terraces
  • Echo Valley
  • Kiltepan Tower
  • Underground River
  • Lake Danum
  • Hanging Coffins
  • Pongas Falls
  • Mt. Ampacao
  • Marlboro Mountain




Sagada is famous for its "hanging coffins". This is a traditional way of burying people that is still utilized. Not everyone qualified to be buried this way; one had to, among other things, be married and have grandchildren.
Popular activities include trekking, exploring both caves and waterfalls, spelunking, bonfires, picnics, rappelling, visiting historical sites, nature hikes, and participating in tribal celebrations. Guides can be found upon registration at the tourist-office in Sagada Proper

Day 0 (Thursday)
9:30pm Meet-up, Makati or Moa
10:00pm Departure to Banaue

Day 1 (Friday)
6:00am ETA Banaue, Ifugao- Breakfast and picture taking at Banaue viewpoints and souvenir shopping.
7:00am Travel to Sagada.
11:00am ETA Sagada, Mt. Province, check-in
12:00nn Lunch
2:00pm Cave Adventure/ Spelunking
7:00pm Dinner

Day 2 (Saturday)
4:00am Sunrise viewing at Mt. Kiltepan
6:30am Breakfast
7:30am Sagada Tour- St. Mary Church, Echo Valley, Hanging Coffins, Souvenir shopping, Sagada Weaving, Ganduyan Museum
12:00nn Lunch
2:00pm Trek at Aguid Rice Terraces / Bomod-ok falls
7:00pm Dinner

Day 3 (Sunday)
5:30am Early Breakfast and depart for Baguio
7:30am Stop at Atok point (highest point of Halsema hi way)
9:00am Side-trip, Mummies at Timbak caves.
12:00nn Lunch
1:00pm Free Time at Baguio City
4:00pm Depart for Manila
10:00pm ETA Manila
